Gujarat Dalits send 125 kg soap to Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It was gifted by Dalit group to show their peaceful protest against Yogi Adityanath. They said Yogi can bath himself before meeting Dalits.
Actually, authorities distributed soap and shampoo to Musahar Dalit families and asked them “clean themselves” before attending a public meeting of the chief minister.
According to media reports, Adityanath’s visit to Mainpur Deenapatti village in Kushinagar district. And Musahar Dalit families received two soaps and a sachet of shampoo by officers, and instructions to “clean themselves” before attending the public meeting.
Gujarat Dalit group says, as congress demanded Yogi Adityanath to apologies for this incident but Chief Minister didn’t. So that’s why we are sending him 125 kg ‘Buddha Soap’ , which is 16.5 feet long.
When we asked them for the reason of exactly 16.5 feet, they said, “total population of dalits in India are exactly 16.5%. And that’s why we are sending him soap of exactly 16.5 feet with the symbol of Buddha, symbol of peace and good mentality”.
They added, “Yogi Adityanath and other BJP leaders should change their mentality and implement something in the field of actual development”.
This idea came from ‘Navsarjan NGO’, works for dalits in Gujarat state. In this initiative, Dalits collected Rs. 10 from each Dalit family of Gujarat, who live in rural area.
When asked about 125 Kg, they respond that, “we are celebrating 125 birth year of Baba Saheb Bheem Rao Ambedkar, that’s why we made soap of 125 kg”
Kirit Rathod( Members of the organization) said, “Yogi Adityanath needs to cleanse himself of these impurities,”.
Congress earlier asked which part of the Constitution was the chief minister upholding by reflecting such a mindset?
