LivingStone: Puts Life Into Structures for Travellers & Property Owner

• Our startup is solving 3 problems-

1. Leisure Travel is not anymore about popular tourist destination but now it is about immersive experiences.
2. Many accommodations, which are either owned by locals or held as a second-home, located at exotic locations are not marketed.
3. Unbranded accommodations causes trust and security issues.

• Solution: We are an experiential-living company, which solves the above problems by doing the following-

1. Offering unique experiential spaces to the travellers.
2. Collaborating with the property owners and marketing their properties to generate more money-value.
3. Branding the properties to bridge trust gaps.

• How did this idea of the startup initiative? What was the inspiration and story behind this?

The genesis of this idea lies in my love for travelling to offbeat places. I started a hotel in April 2018 at Chitkul, which is at about 12000ft and is the last inhabited village of India on Indo-China border. That hotel became one of the best places to stay in that region within a very short duration of time. The success of Chitkul hotel inspired me to start LivingStone Stays and to create value for the property owners who have properties at beautiful locations.

• Why this name? What is the significance behind it?

LivingStone composes of two words – Living and Stone. Stone represents a structure which is dead and Living represents life. LivingStone puts life into the structures and creates value for travellers and property owners.
