Enactus SRCC: International Not for Profit Student Led Social Organization

Greetings from Enactus SRCC,

Enactus SRCC is an international not for profit student led organization working for social entrepreneurship projects. Enactus Shri Ram College of Commerce is one of the chapter under Enactus.

Project Asbah aims at providing clean drinking water to rural households and urban slums at highly affordable rate of Rs. 4 for 20 liters. Every plant they Asbah sets up provides employment for 2 women in entrepreneurial roles. Asbah has 9 community filtration plants across 3 states impacting 26,400+ lives and empowering 18 women entrepreneurs.

Achievements:

a) Lauded by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi
b) Lauded by the Honorable Former President of India, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee
c) Lauded by the Honorable Minister for Jal Shakti and presented with a Letter of Appreciation
d) Adjudged ‘Best Water Project in the World’ at World Water Race 2019 in Silicon Valley, California, USA out of 120+ teams

We are proud to state that Project Asbah has been able to continue it’s operations efficiently even during the virus outbreak without failing to follow the guidelines issued by Central Government.

To maintain cleanliness:

1. We ensure sanitizing consumers who come to our plant
2. Ensure social distancing by proper marking on the ground to avoid spread of virus
3. Operators wear gloves while handling the cards of customers when they come to fill water
4. Masks are worn and distributed by women entrepreneurs
5. Awareness and social messages are spread for social well being
