Ecowrap:Platform Assists you Keeping Premises Clean and ECO-friendly

Angraj Swami’s main aim is to eliminate the need for landfills. Ecowrap started in 2020 with the bootstrapped fund and was seed-funded by Social Alpha in September 2021.
The below 3 main pain points led us to create Ecowrap.
1. Source segregation culture is missing
2. The reverse supply chain does not exist in India
3. Financial Viability is a challenge

Ecowrap is a waste management cum FMCG supply chain platform that assists you in keeping your premises clean and environment-friendly. We focus on primary segregation and provide a one-stop solution for waste collection, tracking, recycling and up-cycling.

Ecowrap‘s supply chain is entirely based on the concept of source segregation, focusing on changing the human behaviour regarding waste segregation. Only after proper segregation from its source, it is collected. Also, IoT enabled dustbins, with help of GPRS and load sensors decide the shortest route reduce the distance travelled by the logistics team and provide time-bound service.

We discovered that some of the most pressing challenges faced by the waste generator and recycling industry in India could be solved through primary segregation and digital technology, something that no one else was doing. Our main focus is on waste segregation at the source and providing all required infrastructure to make this sector financially viable.

• Ecowrap is targeting mass waste generators like Hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. (HORECA) and partnered with around 400+ waste generators.
• Added ~ 3000 MT of collected waste into the recycling chain in the past 2 years.
• By Project Muskaan, Ecowrap trained 42 women from underprivileged sections of society and empowered them through the up-cycling of waste. Each woman earns around INR 4-5 thousand per month.
• Started a campaigning program at schools and public places to make young students and locals aware of waste segregation & disposal. We reached 1500+ members to spread goodwill.
• Ecowrap’s new and ongoing project converts biodegradable waste such as leftover food, and market waste into organic fertilizer. We aim to manage 5MT (5000kg) of bio-waste every day.
